Miss Lily Rose bred and raised by Edinglassie Stud, is the fourth foal of Shannon Wood, a half sister to Group 1 winner Sharscay. Sold by Edinglassie Stud at 2007 Sydney Easter yearling sale for $90,000 to the bid of Danny O'Brien.

Tell a Tale was brought by D Farrington $40,000 and later purchased by Te Akau Stables principal David Ellis at a 2007 Magic Millions June yearling sale on the Gold Coast for A$125,000.
