Mick & Michelle Talty

Mick and Michelle Talty both graduated with an Associate Diploma in Horse Management from Glenormiston Agricultural College in 1987.

Mick commenced his career with thoroughbreds at Widden Stud, before joining William Inglis as a Pedigree Consultant; this enabled Mick to travel to England where he worked for Tattersalls in Pedigrees and Sales.

On returning to Australia Mick was employed as The Manager for Dunsinane Stud before becoming The Manager of Robert Oatley's Rosemount Estate, which he managed for 10 years.

After leaving Glenormiston Michelle was employed by Peter Orton at Middlebrook Park before travelling overseas where she spent 4 years in both Breeding and Yearling Preparation at Airlie Stud (Ireland), Lanwades (Newmarket) and Lanes End (Kentucky).

On returning to Australia Michelle worked as Yearling Manager for Turangga and Arrowfield Stud for 8 years.

Mick and Michelle are married with two children and have taken on the part lease of Edinglassie Stud (Formerly Rosemount Estate) with Mr Robert Oatley.
